Reason For Taking Appropriate Drilling Noise Control Measures

By Eugenia Dickerson

The sound coming from construction sites can be controlled by use of various methods. This ranges from the complicated use of engineered devices to the normal construction of barriers. Drillers for instance take various measures to regulate the sound coming from their machines. There are various benefits associated with taking appropriate drilling noise control measures.

Exposure to too much noise especially one coming from boring machines can lead to hearing impairment. This is because the ear is made to receive and respond to certain sound intensity and within certain sound frequencies. However, when the sound is too much, the eardrum may be damaged affecting the ability of the eardrum to receive sounds.

Once machines do not produce a lot of sound, this can also lead to a reduction in breathing problems. When there is too much sound being produced, this may affect how thick the blood is and when the blood is too thick, it may not flow properly. This may lead to various parts of the body not getting enough blood and thus not enough oxygen. This may make one have breathing problems and even suffocation.

Machine noises may also cause chronic headaches and this may lead to one being irritable. This may greatly affect the productivity of an individual at work especially people who may require a lot of concentration in the kind of job they do. Once they have a headache they cannot participate effectively in their work schedule, which means the overall job performance is affected.

Whenever machines operate under regulated sound production, this may also prevent high blood pressure problems. Mostly excess sound production leads to increased production of the adrenalin hormone. The blood vessels also contract when there is too much noise. The presence of adrenaline and the contraction of blood vessels may then lead to one having high blood pressure.

Stress and anxiety are also caused by living in areas with high levels of sound production such as construction sites. Mostly when the adrenalin in your blood increases it also increases the rate of your heartbeat. When the heart beats at a rate more than the expected rate, it causes contraction of the blood vessels, which can lead to a feeling of stress and anxiety.

Noisy environments can disturb the normal functioning of other people who may be around. Most people cannot work in noisy places adequately and it is for that reason that most of them may find it hard to cope with such noisy areas. This means that they will not attend to their normal duties perfectly hence the risk of development of much bigger problems in future.

While using the drilling noise control approaches, you can lower the amount of sound intensity making the atmosphere more comfortable to live in. When the environment is not polluted, this guarantees that people can be more active in their jobs, and this can also increase their performance levels. It also ensures reduced problems of stress, anxiety, ear impairment, chronic headaches and breathing problems. This also makes sure every person is happy meaning they can actively and effectively carry out their jobs leading to increased productivity and performance.
