If you are selecting the book, better consider the content. You have to be sure that the content of this Scripture is in lieu of the religion you belong to. Even those religions which believe in Christianity will have subtle differences in the content of their Scripture. It is important that you pick the one which suits your religion the most.

It will also help you out a lot if you can check what the price of the said product is before you make the purchase. Of course, you have to make sure that it is affordable for you. The yap should be checked too. The yap may be unfamiliar to most people but this is the amount of leather on your cover that extends beyond the pages. The head and tail bands have their own purpose in this Scriptures and so you have to check up on them. You have to make sure that these are of good quality. You need them firm and tough because this is where you will be pulling whenever you want to get the said book from the shelf.

Look into the art-gilt edges as well. The Scriptures are most commonly made with gold-gilt but it should be more advantageous for you to have the art-gilt edges. After all, the paper which it is made from is dyed red. Gold foil is then melted onto it. The edges will look a bit orange and it will stay put longer.
