Located at the border of Oklahoma and Texas, the lake is a fifty year old reservoir that has achieved to remain as one of the most acclaimed fishing destinations. 1.There are some three basic approaches to apply in catching stripers in Texoma. The first is the use of live baits which works well throughout the year. Second is using artificial lures such as slabs. The third is casting of long line crank baits which are trolled by the boats. These methods are the most popular.

2.During the spring season, the warming water attracts the stripers to the shallow ends where the sunlight can penetrate through to warm water. The flats next to deep waters are best areas to troll red fins and long bills. This pattern will remain this way until the stripers head up river in March.

3.Different types of bass like the smallmouth, largemouth and bass are often around the banks, boat docks and the breakwaters. The catfish can be caught using cut, live shad and baits throughout the year. During spring is the best season to go for a fishing trip here. The water levels are high and as temperatures rise, the fish move to rocks for spawning.
