The Benefit Of Praying To Our Creator

By Bernadette Martin

From time to time, the burdens on our shoulder are too heavy to carry by ourselves. When we turn to our friends, family or relatives they are not always able to help. As a result, we grow weary of our burdens and give up. It is a journey that is not easy for us in our flesh, and it is only through praying to our Creator that we can conquer the demands and pitfalls of the journey.

When we need strength and hope, we can get it through saying a prayer to the Creator. Prayer is the only last resort for mankind to find faith and hope in the one who makes us exist. Additionally, prayer is the source of strength, conviction and inspiration. Through prayer, we can make a connection with the Supreme Being, who made us, gave us life, healing, hope, and comfort.

Prayer to the one who created us can be very effective if one follows guidelines. It is important to understand His purity, wisdom, power and strength before engaging Him in prayer. Its possible to contact Him anywhere, any place on Earth or beyond because He is everywhere. He also understands and knows everything, from the past to present to future and is the source of all wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Once we understand His omnipresence and His all-knowing power, we can use it for prayer to approach Him. The process by which we approach in prayer is rather simple because all one has to do is talk their minds. However, it is imperative to be free of human distractions such as lust and anger as He is pure and expects us to be like Him because that is how He created us to be. The purity of heart and mind cannot be understated in the process of prayer.

As said before, during prayer, our spirits make a connection with the spirit of our Maker. The connection felt is usually a strong one, although the strength varies among individuals. Its this connection that creates a bond that connects our spirit to the maker which in turn strengthens our faith.

Additionally, the result of prayer may or not be apparent to individuals. Also, the length of time between prayer and results varies among different people. These differences may be attributed to differences in individuals purity, faith, and beliefs.

Beliefs, faith, and purity, determine whether prayers are effective and also the strength of the connection with the spirit. Individuals who believe with no doubt and have faith in the power of prayer are likely to experience a greater connection and also have answers to their prayers compared to people who do not. Purity is freedom from distractions such as negative thoughts that once eliminated, allows the individual to enjoy a much stronger connection.

As human beings, we live in the mercy of one who created us. We talk to him through prayer and ask him for strength, empowerment and change without which we cannot live an entirely fruitful life. Through talking to Him, we understand our purpose for our lives. Faith, beliefs, and purity are essential for prayer.
