Using The Greatest Secret Of Change

By Evan Sanders

The secret of change is to focus everything on creating what you can in the present, and letting yourself slip out of the past and the future.

How will we actually change?

I am not talking about the kind of change that lasts for only a few months and then we head back to the same stuff we always used to do. No, I am talking about that everlasting change that permits us to move onward with our lives and leave our old techniques behind. This is true change, change that will last forever. The secret is to commit everything you have in your life to building what you can in the present time.

The past will hold you down and the future will show you the greatest mirage of a land where it all turns out. Both these imaginary places are stupendously dangerous because they keep us from being in action in the present moment. Even though we can go there in our heads, we have to avoid living in these places at all costs.

Change isn't going to be simple. Think about just how many people attempt to make great changes the on the first of the year. Statistically nearly half of people who make New Years Resolutions fail by February. That disconnect is huge. So there has to be something fantastically shattered with that technique.

So what can we do?

Focus on one thing, every single day, to make yourself a tiny bit better than the day before and do that for as long as you potentially can. Do not get obsessed with the quantum leap where everything changes all at one single point in time - it's a lie. Focus on the daily jobs you can perform and over time you will change more than you could possibly ever imagine.

Start the journey of change at this moment, one step at a time.

Don't wait.
