Young People Need To Realize Their Limitations

By John Miller

Certain mistake which parents unknowingly do regarding their children have impact on the child's life which are long term and serious. One such mistake is the avoidance of arguments with them which parents believe is good for the child but in fact it is a blunder which shows its results on the child's life after very long time.

Parents mostly out of love and care for their children totally forget about discipline and this confusion leads them to make a mistake. They think they are building a good relationship with their children but they instead are making their children undisciplined.

People forget the responsibility of being parents and let their children do what they like to. The children take advantage of this and cross the boundaries around them. As responsible parents we should put some limits to the children's activities and decide about they should do and what they shouldn't.

Parents must understand that their children should know the consequences of breaking rules and regulations. All children definitely must have limits on their activities. Children actually need rules though it may sound strange to parents. Rational limits on children make children not only understand the limits but also gives them the feeling of being protected. Experts even claim that such rules and limits make the children believe and feel they are more loved in the long run.

It may be difficult for parents for saying no to the children's irrational demands because of the trend of agreeing with the children in everything they do. But we all know about the spoiled children who are the result of this mistake.

For many it will be difficult to put limitations on their children's activities or even think about it. The thought of why they should do and not the children can help them understand the importance of limits for the children.

Those who love their children in a true sense will agree to the point that though it is hard to keep a child's behavior with in a boundary, the impact of this act is more important than the efforts made.

Everyone should know that human has no knowledge of everything. We therefore must seek knowledge from all possible sources to make our children's life trouble less and smooth.
