For several years, I have used the same route from home to work and back on the same hours each morning and also night. As soon as news broke of a female being mugged and left for dead around the selfsame way, it shook up my sense of security.

Among 10% pepper sprays alone, that are the regular concentration, nearly all feature coarse pepper grains and far fewer are finer grained. The second item seems to be the significantly better performer particularly because it permeates the skin pores faster.
The fine grain Pepper Shot pepper spray which I spotted, particularly, is meant to shoot out 6 to 10 one-second bursts which remain effective for 6 to 8 feet. For instant retrieval, the 1/2 oz. tube features a so-called quick key release key chain.
Size makes a difference, it turns out. Key chain pepper sprays like these ones in colored injection-molded holsters are absolutely no trouble to stick onto a bag, as well as get and spray when the need for one comes up.
