Pointers Regarding How To Stop Difficult Attackers Right Where They Are

By Kala A Sodekem

Walking home from work at night is a dangerous thing. In my community, drug addicts, muggers and also drunks that love to pick fights wander the streets at night. It is important that I bring the right tools to safeguard myself.

I carried pepper spray along with me but some of the more determined assailants were able to resist it. I needed something with added stopping power however did not want to give up the defense spray, thus I invested in a Pepper Mace baton.

Pepper spray is a non-lethal self-defense device that uses pepper as its active ingredient. It causes a painful burning sensation in the eyes and also on the skin of any person it touches, rendering them unable to attack.

The effect will last only for a few minutes and doesn't result in any permanent injury. Its objective would be to allow you time to get away an assailant and ask for help, not to face him head-on.

A pepper spray baton is a baton known as a kubotan that comes with pepper spray disguised within. Disguised pepper sprays like it provide the element of surprise, as an opponent would never guess that he is about to be sprayed.

Using a pepper baton, I now have two means of dealing with opponents. If confronted, I can make use of the pepper spray to try and disarm him. Should he resist that, I can use the kubotan to further deter him.

The self-defense kubotan can be utilized on its own or attached to a key chain. It increases the power of each strike and works very effectively on bony areas. If it is attached to a key chain, you can also use the kubotan to swing the keys at an assailant.

The Pepper Mace baton has proven to be a very useful tool. Its 2-in-1 functionality provides me the flexibility that I require to face stubborn enemies while enabling me to keep utilizing my non-lethal pepper spray.
