The growing rate of alcoholism relies upon the social status of alcohol as a drink of joy in lots of countries. This drink of celebration soon becomes a deadly drink, when it's too late to regret.

According to statistics alcohol addiction is a reason for 50% road accidents in U.S.A. But the consequences are much more serious then these incidents. Alcohol addiction wouldn't result by an intermittent drinking, but it's a procedure that evolves gradually, that is stretched over several alcohol addiction stages.

Alcoholic stages help people be aware of level of the addiction. These classifications in stages also let the staff at drug treatment centers to categorize the patient accordingly for an efficient, stage specific treatment plan.

The stages of alcohol addiction are split into four parts. This indicates the fact that addiction if noticed in time can be eliminated without dropping a lot of important components of life like; family members, friends, work and moral beliefs.

The very first phase of alcoholism is the time when a person starts to drink by having an purpose to get rid of a distressing mood. Hence alcohol dependency is induced like a mood changing substance. It is now time once the drug tolerance degree of the blood increases and a person requires an increased dosage to have a feel to be drunk/high. This is the time when a person starts depending on alcohol to psychologically escape from the issues and to ease off. The person at beginning is in denial concerning the drug dependence and this denial allows a heightened drinking.

At the onset of second stage of alcoholism, the person's desire for that drug becomes extreme. A drug addict now feels a temporary aura of perfect life when he/she is drunk. The addict feels drinking a means to find respite from all of the pains and problems. His/her body begins to face the withdrawal symptoms and also to fulfill this elevated appetite for alcohol, the person raises alcohol intake and hide it using their close relations. Symptoms like blackouts, impaired judgment, chills, euphoria and temporary loss of memory begin to surface. But the person's mindset isn't allowing him/her to embrace the fact that he/she is certainly going astray.

At the third stage, things become worst for that addicts. And also the effects of previous alcohol stages become more harmful. The addict becomes keen on isolation. His/her relationship with the family and friends deteriorates. The withdrawal symptoms become severe and the conscience doesn't interfere in provoking the person's repentance. The person finds baseless/weak reasons to support their choice of taking serious amounts of alcohol. The individual now experiences tremors, hostile behavior and depressive disorders. Psychological and physical ailments begin to create. Organs start to exhibit signs and symptoms of mal-functioning.

The fourth and final stage is easily the most dangerous phase. The drug tolerance level has grown to such an extent that the person doesn't remain his/her true self. Absolutely nothing comes between your addict and also the drug. The ethical values seem dropped which person can rob, damage or even kills a person to get few dimes to buy alcohol. The tremors develop into severe seizures. The disease associated with drinking reach a chronic state. Heavy drinking, persistent loss of control and made worse health problems like hallucinations, impaired thinking and numbness are skilled.

A person gradually destroys his/her own life and mental denial facilitates this destruction.
