Cure Anxiety Attacks - Speak To Your Mind

By Matthew Insardi

There are different ways of dealing with anxiety. This is my personal story that shows you the secret I learned that changed my life and the way I took control of my anxiety. Most of what I thought was actually causing more anxiety. Paying attention to the panic attack strengthens the cycle and increases the intensity of the attack. If you are like me you are hoping you don't get another attack, this way of thinking will insure that more attacks are sure to come.

Breathing, meditation, stretching, yoga are excellent techniques, BUT they work on the basis of already being calm. If your in the middle of a panic attack the last thing on your mind is a downward dog. Your most likely trying not to end up in the emergency room. So what are you suppose to do during an anxiety attack to make sure they don't return to run your life?

Get ready to hear something you probably never heard before. Embrace your fear, don't fight it. This change in attitude is the best solution to stop panic attacks. Ok easier said than done.

Think about pilots and firefighters for a moment. They are highly trained to act and make important decisions during high levels of stress and anxiety. they have trained their bodies to take commands from their brains. They can calm themselves and perform under these highly stressful situations by commanding their bodies to complete the tasks at hand.

Picture yourself for a moment. You have absolutely no training for stressful situations. Your body and mind have not been taught to communicate together. There are parts of your brain that are not hard wired together so you have to learn how to speak to your mind. Durning panic attacks instead of talking to yourself you probably feel dizzy, your heart pounds, its hard to breathe, you may feel like your losing control. Lets learn how to command your brain to control your body.

This is a life changing secret that I am about to share with you. If you want to cure panic attacks and take control of your life you need to personalize the disorder, detach yourself from the feeling and increase the fear. This sounds backwards at first glance. But by talking out loud to the disorder and treating it like a person will help you label it as and anxiety attack and soon you will be able to move on and not be controlled by anxiety. An example would be if you are feeling dizzy say this out loud, "Dizziness make me fall over".

Practice, practice, practice. This does not happen on the first try. Remember the firefighters and pilots example and they are highly trained to command their brains and bodies to work together. Keep doing this simple yet effective strategy and you will become anxiety free and take back control of your life.
