Anti-Aging Facial Exercises 3

By Alex Greenwood

Did you know that you can reduce your facial wrinkles by stretching and toning your facial muscles. Just like the rest of our body, exercising our face will help improve our muscle tone and make our whole facial appearance look more relaxed and defined.

I challenge you to practice these exercises for one month and see if you and others notice the difference in your facial definition.

Forehead - With your fingers on your forehead above your eyes, pull your skin down while raising your eyebrows. Repeat this 10 times for a smoother, wrinkle free brow.

Double Chin - Relax your facial muscles and tilt your head backwards. Slowly open your mouth wide and hold for 20 seconds. Lower your chin and close your mouth and relax for 20 seconds. This exercise will help tighten the muscles under your chin if you repeat it daily, 10 times.

Loose, Saggy Neck - With your hand pressed on your throat, tilt your head backwards and point your chin to the ceiling. Without opening your mouth, slowly pulsate your lower jaw upwards towards the ceiling 10 times. Repeat this 5 times a day to help strengthen and firm your neck.

Eye Lids - Sit straight and gently press the heel of your hands over your closed eyes. Shut your eyes tightly while working against your hands for 10 seconds and relax. 10x to help remove puffiness from the eye area.

Lips - Pucker your mouth for a count of 10 and pull back into a pronounced grin for a beat of 10. If you do this 10 times a day you will strengthen the muscles of your lip area and make your lips firmer with less lines.

Cheeks - Blow out your cheeks as hard as you can and hold for a count of 20. Relax in between and repeat 5 times to help define your cheekbones and get rid of puffiness.

Cheeks - Tilt your head backwards and press down on your cheeks while working against your hands and making as big a smile as you can. Repeat 10x relaxing in between. When done give your cheeks light pinches to increase your blood flow.

A nice thing about these exercises is that they don't have to take any time out of your day. You can do them just about everywhere (maybe not at work if people can see you!) They also don't cost anything, but if you keep up with them for a month, I'm sure you will see an increased firmness and definition of your face and neck.
