Organizing Everything

By Reika Oreinda

Do you know any minimalists or packrats in your life? Were they born or created? Is it their upbringing? I've recognized when the children turned out to be the opposite and vice versa. I've also recognized individuals who used live in a pig sty, who're now keeping tidy spaces. I used to be messy too, but now I maintain my spaces. I value my time and I love being able to know exactly where things I need are now. Reading by way of books on organization gave me the insight that being organized is actually a habit. The basics of organization is really simple, it just takes a little discipline to carry out. I've learned a three step program that you simply can implement in any room in any space. Here's the steps to organize anything you want:

First and foremost, you should toss out everything that you do not use or haven't used in more than 2 years, excluding sentimental items. If you don't use it generally, stash it in a secure location where you will be able to admire it from time to time. But know that clutter also occupies your mental space. As soon as you clean out your room, you will feel better and more focused. Ever wonder why you are a good deal much more productive in specific spaces than other individuals? Your environment affects you on a subconscious level too. Cleaning a room isn't only a physical act but also clears your head.

Second, you need to assign a home for everything. This calls for you to mentally designate or physically designate spaces that you will call home to certain objects. Ever wonder why you can't find something? It's because you didn't make a space where it should go specifically. Like the old adage, a place for everything, and everything in its place. If you don't have space, don't just pile it on a desk. Buy some transparent drawers and assign an in and out box. Many times it's not having the right supplies that drives us to disorganization. Having organizer boxes can save you space in your home by utilizing the vertical nooks and crannies.

Lastly, you'll need to keep your residence clean! Evaluate your space every week to see what's working and what's not. Simply choose a room and look at where you invest by far the most time. Make sure that space is totally clutter free. Designate other corners and less utilized areas for storage space, and take out the trash.

Keeping organized is not as challenging as you might think. All it takes is throwing the crap out, designating a property for every thing, and keeping your room clean by often improving and adjusting your organization route.
