It's are not only in the pages of books written by wise or learned men and women, but can become evident to anyone with a keen interest in living and applying acute observation. The following insights are meant to be put into practice to experience the benefits.

Taking care of one's health is of primary importance. Folks that neglect physical and emotional health deprive the self of vitality. People with staggering amounts of money, unfathomable material wealth, the best intentions and wonderful gifts that lack healthy bodies and minds actually have very little.

Everybody needs respect and love. Without it, life becomes a tragic journey of needless sadness and violence. To earn respect and love, one must give it all the time. This is hard to do, especially when coming across others that show disrespect. Folks with self-respect usually show it to others and all of nature.

It stimulates awareness and appreciation for creation, and helps to cultivate exuberant mental and physical health. Staying aware of the flow of breath in and out of the body is a simple, convenient yet powerful way to keep a clear focus on what's happening in the now.

The ability to laugh at the self and situations encourages health and helps to establish warm and friendly relationships. Folks that are able to see and share good-natured humor make living worthwhile, and inspires others to show resilience when faced with hardship. Individuals that struggle to laugh authentically often would be wise to find and befriend someone that can do so with ease.

Everyone can be good at something. The key is to find what one is passionate about doing well, and then go out and learn about it and do it as often as possible. Naturally, obstacles will abound and lots of patience and practice will be needed to mold the self into the desired shape. Let times of self-doubt and the temptation to stop become stepping stones to moving ahead, irrespective of the challenges.

Designing and trying to achieve goals are admirable, but forgetting about the tiny steps that get folks from point A to B is cause for unhappiness and failure. There is nothing wrong about wanting to achieve this or that, but it's more important to focus on the small little actions one has to take from day to day to reach a destination. It makes taking care of living more manageable and stressless when focussed on getting the small things right, than trying to wow the world with breathtaking feats.

Folks that appreciate aesthetic beauty are more inspired and enthused by what the world has to offer. Almost anything can be turned into a channel for artistic, creative expression. The ability to perceive and enjoy beauty - whether expressed through home decor, food preparation, photography, design, or making automobiles - makes living less stressful and inspires the imagination.

Individuals that read well-written, informative and entertaining books often enjoy living more than folks that don't. Besides being sources of information, good books entertain, make for effortless relaxation, and indulge the imagination in ways few other means of entertainment can offer.
