Ideas For Protecting Oneself Against Criminals

By Angelle A Gotak

I graduated college a few months previously but, unfortunately, I'm having a hard time looking for a job. In the meantime, I accepted work being a waitress at a eatery close to my apartment while I went on my job search.

One evening, I was going back home right after a late shift and was in shock when a guy mugged me. This was a horrible experience although I was simply happy to be alive. After that incident, a coworker as well as I both made a decision to acquire stun gun devices for self-defense. My attack scared her too.

My sister carries a multi-function stun gun anywhere she goes. She was able to use it successfully versus an assailant once. This is a 4.5 million volt rechargeable stun weapon having a super-bright LED flashlight, red blinking emergency lights and an alarm.

That colleague and I really knew nothing with regards to stun weapons therefore we did some research first. We found that these release an electrical shock straight to the body of the target the moment contact takes place. The shock will immobilize the assailant for a few minutes, opening up an opportunity for escape.

While looking at a selection, my colleague thought of purchasing a knuckle stun weapon. This offered 950,000 volts and was equipped with soft rubber skin to accommodate different hand sizes.

An interesting thing we learned was that high voltage stun devices were those that offered near to a million volts or more. These would give faster-acting defense by taking an attacker down to the ground with minimal shots.

From the options I found, I purchased a 1.2 million volt rechargeable pen stun device with flashlight. This disguised stun device offers the element of surprise. This is a tiny stun device as well, which makes it convenient to carry around.

Deciding to buy stun gun devices for self-defense has helped us feel more confident. Plus, it is reassuring to find out that stun weapons are non deadly weapons. It means that any outcomes are short-lived and won't cause lasting damage on the target.
