Nicotine is very powerful. If the body is addicted to it, and the person decides to suddenly quit, the body will crave it. The person would then suffer from withdrawal symptoms, which include headaches and crankiness.

Some people use the cigarette holding as a way to combat everyday boredom. Boredom threatens while driving or waiting for someone or something to happen. Cigarettes are used to get a break at work or after a nice meal. Heavy drinkers often also smoke.

Some are able to put out a cigarette and decide to never pick another one up again. It takes someone who is not addicted to nicotine and has a general distaste for cigarettes. It is not a common occurrence but some are able to pull it off.

We also have the e-cigarette today, which many people use as an alternative because they are not able to smoke in their workplace or home. They are very good for people who like to just have a cigarette between their fingers or their lips.

Many doctors recommend quitting. It is known to be very dangerous to the body. People have trouble breathing and can contract cancer or experience other lung problems.
