Feel Fear, Surrender, And Win

By Sandy Ingram

Stress that starts with a bad mood is subtle; it can escalate to a nasty attitude day or week. Good healthy energy is wasted. There are natural solutions to this kind of stress.

By contrast, when you muster the COURAGE to refuse to fight, and with an attitude of quiet resignation, and you allow all the feelings of fear to come, you once again expose and recognize their limitation. This knowledge becomes a profound discovery and provides a "rod and staff "for disarming the feeling of fear. You are no longer afraid to be afraid. Fear becomes a FRIEND, an ally. You don't fight and win. The paradox is that you SURRENDER and win. Surrender to the feeling; let it come. FEEL FEAR, SURRENDER AND WIN.

After you have taken the necessary time to think about why you feel this way, do the stress reducing action of taking responsibility for you bad mood. Blaming others only makes things worse and does not get to the root of the problem quick enough. Remember the only person you have any control over is yourself! In addition, the only person who you can truly change is yourself.

You do not have to give in to someone else's influences on you; you can consider them, understand them and let them go. You have that power of self-control. Upset, bad moods and stress takes away too much living energy, you can not afford to lose this energy.

There is scientific validation for what has been stated regarding the pattern of fear. When a person is experiencing the feeling of fear and panic, they falsely believe that the intensity of the feeling will grow to such a force that they will be overwhelmed, inundated, i.e.: faint, lose control, exhibit some weird behavior and embarrass themselves. This does not happen.

Another solution is to do some sort of exercise. Again examples are, riding a bicycle, taking a walk, shooting some hoops, again while doing these things concentrate on the journey or the goals. Enjoy the fresh air, the wild life and plants along your walk. Concentrate on how many good shots you made through the basket and how you can do better. Consider how far you were able to ride your bicycle and how energized and healthy your body feels. All this time you were diluting your bad mood and stressed attitude into a calmer and more pleasant you.

Once you feel better, those things that bothered you are either gone or unimportant. If they are still hovering, you are now in a much better frame of mind to find a viable solution to the problem. Natural stress solutions will make your life much more enjoyable and healthier.
