5 Items of Men's Clothing You Should Forget About Wearing This Fall

By Brad Wilson

Fall fashion is on everyone's mind these days since the summer is about over. Fabulous men's suits and runway clothing may be a distraction but styles are not the only thing you need to consider. If you want to look your best there are some clothing items you don't want in your closet.

So, what are the fashion faux pas you should avoid this fall?

Shop Men Suit Online- What's Out of Style This Season

Lengthy Coats- Do you remember watching the movie Little Nicky, with Adam Sandler? You cannot wear that kind of extra long coat any longer. The ideal length for a coat you are going to use over your suits should measure a few inches above your knee. While you may think this isn't protective enough that's just what fashion dictates. For making a statement you should choose Scottish tweed jackets.

Puffer Vests- While these feather filled vests do block out even the harshest cold breeze during the fall, they also make you look as if you have put on a few extra pounds. You can use an alternative though. You no longer have to sacrifice warmth for style; instead of purchasing a puffer vest during the season, consider a gilet. Vest-like gilets don't add bulk and still maintain body heat and fight the cold.

Logo Scarves- Logo scarves are no longer a good fashion accessory. Walking around like a billboard isn't cool. Instead, choose a scarf to wear with your suits that is soft against your skin (lamb's wool is an excellent choice,) keeps your neck warm on those chilly mornings, and says something about your unique sense of style.

Wearing Leather- Leather jackets need to fit your body well if they are going to look halfway decent. You cannot possibly look fashionable in leather jackets that are shapeless and frumpy.

More Cologne- In cold air, colognes have a tendency to weaken. But you don't want to go overboard when you are asked to use more cologne. Also look for scents that go with your style and personality. You will get the best affect when you apply cologne at pulse points in the body.

Some materials may ne affected negatively by cologne. Harris tweed for instance, is not that kind of fabric on which you apply cologne.

The new season brings new tidings and you should wear new fashion by all means. But throw away these fall failures and update your wardrobe.
