Effective Manner Of Protecting Yourself From Danger

By Mannie B Alvardo

Immediately after a strenuous day at work, I felt a whole lot worse since a mugger snatched my bag. I was extremely worn out that I couldn't put up a fight.

A friend at work once told me to look into good personal defense weapons. Unfortunately, it was only after being mugged which I recognized I had to know how to protect myself against possible aggressors. I suppose it is better late than never.

Knowing absolutely nothing regarding protective products, I looked on the net and was surprised to discover that various choices were readily available, based on your safety requirements. It was comforting to find out that I had choices.

I discovered a selection of stun devices interesting. I discovered that these emit an electric current to the body of the receiver on impact. The current is enough to disable an attacker briefly for a couple of minutes, providing you time to escape.

Plus, I found pepper sprays that seemed easy to use. These result in an agonizing burning pain in the face of the aggressor, leaving them disabled briefly. During this time period, you can flee danger. Stun weapons and also pepper sprays are non deadly weapons. These won't result in permanent harm on the target.

While deciding between those two types of weapons, I found many personal alarms too. These produce a loud noise, making them perfect for attracting the attention of bystanders as well as discouraging an assailant.

I ended up choosing a stun gun, which I now carry beside me everywhere I go. One night, while I was out with friends, I had trouble finding a cab to take me home. While I was walking, a guy approached me. Just when he was about to grab my handbag, I stunned him and ran off.

After being attacked twice, I see exactly how important it is to find good self defense weapons for safety. I have been encouraging my friends to get the protection that they needed before it would be too late.
