Why Auto Digital Signage Is Important

By Madeline Finch

New inventions are always coming up every day. Every company and person in diverse fields want to pride themselves as being on the cutting edge as the communication revolution takes pace. Marketers have notably not been left behind in this new hype and craze on technology use and are employing auto digital signage even more.

The appealing effect of adverts on a big LED or LCD screen at a strategic place in town has led many organizations to almost move away from print or newspaper mode. This method has mostly been used when there are short time offers thus immediately directing traffic to the shop. Some businesses have decided to buy and put permanent screens outside their offices.

The automotive industry has finally refused to play second fiddle to new age advertising. Every manufacturer wants to give the customer a likely experience should they buy the product and digital advertisement is the only way to do it. Many people consider it smart to buy a product advertised in a sophisticated way. To them it means the product and the maker have class.

There are car makers who have gone a step further and built internet TV for the reason of showcasing their machines. Others make sure that every showroom has a screen that gives a near experience of owning one of their products. A few have already seen the essence of creating wonderful clips that can be downloaded for viewing on mobile phones.

Apart from being classy, digital signage gives the user more edge over print methods. It is simpler to describe something in three dimensions and in a dynamic environment than it is when using static photos. It gives an instant opportunity for experimenting whatever is being discussed. The viewer can actually feel the experience.

It is also possible to give several messages in very short time spans when using digital means. A one minute description of all the capabilities of an excellent car might translate into a whole page of a newspaper and the buyer might not even get the message in the latter case. One gets to see the exact machine and gets more answers than when left guessing and questioning on print.

It is wise not put up screens along highways when trying to get the attention of those who drive. While grabbing their interest may be successful, it is possible to cause accidents and lose of life too. Thus digital platforms should either be erected along a footpaths blazing with humanity or in waiting halls at airports, universities, companies and other organizations. The messages shown should be easy to grasp and pictures must show uniqueness of the product from the rest that are already in the market place.

Screens meant for advertising should always be placed strategically. Putting one along a highway flowing with cars and humanity might be catastrophic as drivers fail to concentrate on the wheel so as to catch a glimpse of the auto digital signage. Waiting lounges might sound better as people will watch with concentration and also for longer periods.
