Why People Should Opt Not To Get Revenge

By Marcy Becker

Regardless of how you tend to be the nicest person in the block, there will always come a time when somebody will take advantage of this and sometimes, he might end up succeeding in hurting you. In fact, he might hurt you so deep that you might even come to a point where you want to get revenge. Before you do so, however, it is important that you will properly consider what it's effects are first.

To most people these days, justice can only be considered served if they get to inflict the same harm and pain and suffering to those people who did the same thing to them. They feel that their personal sense of justice can only be considered fully at work if they will inflict upon these people the same things that were inflicted on them. They feel that only by doing this can they confront their selves.

Most people would realize, however, that doing something to people who did something bad to them is not really that good an idea at all. Sure, one may have been very driven towards making these people to feel the same suffering you experienced on their hands. However, in the end, you will find that there really isn't anything sweet to it. You might even end up getting yourself hurt in the process.

Besides, plotting up of ways on how you can have the people who did bad to you suffer from what they did can be very draining both mentally and physically. In fact, you will even be surprised at how exhausted you get at the end of the day for all the plotting and the scheming that you are trying to do. That is never healthy and that is most likely to bring and pull you down in the end.

You'll find, that to get revenge is something that would give you really short-lived results and such a short-lived feeling of pleasure. Naturally, who would want to take pleasure in hurting other people. Nobody would want to base their happiness over the hurt that other people feel. This is why you will feel self contented for a short time and then the hurt comes to haunt you back all over again.

Besides, doing the very same thing to the people who did the same thing to you before does not make you anything less like them. If you think that they were a monster for inflicting you the hurt and the suffering that you had to go through, that doesn't make you any less than them if you opt to do these same things too. That doesn't not make you any less evil or any less a monster in the process.

You'll find that the whole process can be downright stressful to you. Hence, it is very likely to put such unnecessary strains to your health in the process. Just like a case of bad flu, it sticks to you. Hence, it's not really surprising if you will end up having some serious health concerns in the process. Besides, the moment you start seeking for one, the more you would want to pursue it again and again.

To get revenge means to have something negative consume you, your whole person, and your whole being. You don't want that. You might even end up not recognizing the person that you will become because it's ugly and it bound to hurt you still in the end.
