Protection From Harm For Physically Unfit Persons

By Mikal A Grimmett

I was not ever physically fit. This was how I understood I needed pepper spray for self defense. While I was in kindergarten, most people laughed at me for being overweight. During high school, I became bigger so many people would tease me and verbally abuse me.

Now that I was all grown up, I was thinking all the horror that came with my size would vanish entirely but, unfortunately, it did not. This became worse and, this time around, a few punks were trying to harm me.

Defense spray, while non deadly, would leave a burning pain on the skin to disable the bad guys for about 30 minutes. After an instance of attempted assault on me, I purchased my first one.

I opted for a pepper gun, which appeared to possess the most accurate method of spraying. This had a trigger-activated LED light that assisted me target precisely at the attacker.

I liked the gun pepper spray but from time to time this felt simply too big for me to carry. I do not make use of large bags, and typically I don't take any bag at all. Thus, I decided to try a pepper spray baton since it didn't resemble self defense spray in any respect.

As a disguised defense spray, this gave the element of surprise. The attacker would not realize that he was about to be sprayed on. And, since he would be in a state of shock, you can easily run for help. My pepper baton was designed as a key ring and refills were readily available.

My fascination with self defense sprays influenced an officemate of mine to purchase one of those tiny self defense sprays. She liked most things compact, lightweight as well as easy to carry around, so she obtained a pocket model self defense spray. This consisted of 5 one-second bursts effective for six to twelve feet.

Individuals just like me who aren't physically fit often encounter hard times. Carrying a pepper spray for defense seems reasonable considering precisely what we experience.
