Some Points When Choosing Golf Simulators

By Jason Doda

If you are going to buy a golf simulator then this article will give you a couple of tips that will come in pretty handy.

The sensor technology is the heart of the whole golf simulator because it is the one that gets the input and thereafter lets you have the feedback about your game. There are three types of sensors to be found in golf simulators today.

When it comes to a radar gun, the basic method of data collection is practically similar to that of a radar gun. It works but the accuracy of swing feedback cannot be compared to the other two options.

You then can choose to buy the camera sensor golf simulator. This will literally record what happens in its field of view. You will not have to place the sensors only on the ground but you can decide where.

Personally the best sensor for club fitting is the infrared system. Analyzing your swing is much easier and accurate especially if you opted for in ground sensors.

The most important information that you can get from your swing analyzer is collected at the moment the golf club makes contact with the golf ball. This is why the in-ground infrared is the best data collector in the pack. You will have to realize that you will need a lot of space around you to put in the sensors though and this can be a problem.

This is a small disadvantage compared to that of the radar system which requires the sensors to be placed above your playing area. If you lean over the ball when you want to putt then the sensors will not register the data as you are blocking the ball.

Always pick the camera and infrared systems if your aim is to work on you're putting.
