Knowing Self-Defense Made Me Became Aware Exactly How Helpless I Am Nowadays

By Greggory L Prince

The moment I moved some two hours' travel coming from my boyfriend's apartment, he decided to obtain me a self-defense weapon. His quick leading selection had been a Taser even though just how much is a Taser to be depended on the moment the user has actually zero street fighting knowledge?

The normal life that I lead tumbles somewhat on the sheltered side. I attended proper schools, have resided in good communities and work inside a well-regulated business area. That I am fully unskilled in physical confrontation was never a deficiency.

A week into relocation, I started to see in a different way. Due to time as well as place conflicts, father was hardly able to drive me to the place of work and my boyfriend could take me home just as rarely. I started feeling the need to secure myself.

It was back then that my boyfriend made a standing offer to obtain me a Taser so I went to take a look at items online. Immediately, I found out that it is not like any other stun gun in that it could make direct contact with the enemy from much farther distances.

First of all, the Taser is a ranged device. Loaded inside it is a disposable cartridge that keeps compressed nitrogen and can shoot out a couple of tiny darts attached to it by wires 15 feet in length. I can launch a non fatal defense from 15 feet away.

Next, it's a close contact stun gun. Those darts bringing 50,000 volts work perfectly within spitting range of their target without any use for unleashing the wires.

My boyfriend pointed me to a Web sale of a Taser C2 with laser sight packaged with its holster and four 15-foot live cartridges plus a training cartridge plus a practice target. He chanced on a real sweet offer in which the activation fee would be waived, as well.

Well, how much is a Taser worth if not the ability to be ready for use and get little old me ready to use it? I practically bulldozed my boyfriend into putting the order, seeing once I understood self-defense that I had been helpless.
