Why Do Difficulties Arise Where They Already Exist?

By Joshua Nikenya

I usually fall short to understand why there's the arising of trouble where trouble already exists! Does God understand that we humans won't handle it alone? Take an example of your mother being sick and admitted in hospital, then your wife or husband falls sick and before taking her/him to hospital, you receive bad news of your daughter/son being crushed down on the road by a vehicle! Would you be settled with that double tragedy?

This dilemma is a true story that happened to a certain staunch christian; imagine the same situation in your life! Would you question God out of faith or out of pain about the condition in your family life? You have to concur with me that everything here pains and it actually gives the majority no strength to continue with the strong faith they began with. Remember, the pressure we get during times of trouble shows what people we are and this is how God finds the true people who really love Him and cares less about world problems.

It is not that God allows us to go through those problems but it's our actions on how we deal with the arising of difficulty that reveals more about our characters other than how we may desire to acknowledge the reality. And remember the true personality of any individual is shown during the difficult times.

When our focus in life changes and all our expectations in Christ fade away, double trouble arises regardless of whether it takes a long time. Who will even remember to pray when double trouble gets in his family? Could you mind to ask God's help in the matter of responding to trouble? When we are in need of help, what's only needed from us is just the need to accept the reality, face it and seek the face of God and let Him lend His hand to whatever the situation is.

You don't have to cause other problems into your life; for instance health problems. This will only give a picture of giving up in life. When nothing seems to be going right, just a brief prayer gives us the courage to confront a difficult moment and through that kind of prayer, God allows our minds to settle down and forget about the real pain!

Let God know your hopes for your reservations and grief. I know it is painful and few can do it; don't ignore to be thankful in that awful moment in your life. Before you take a move or step out of your door after shocking news, remember God and speak to Him through prayer.

Although you'll feel madness and craziness occupying all of your mind and soul, and feel loneliness; the power to transform all our fear and faith comes through praying to God since our body and souls are lying in the hands of The Lord God who knows the reason for the arising of trouble and which to Him are tiny.
