Creating A garden Of Peace

By Franz Cravey

Life is only getting more stressful. That is, unfortunately a fact. Stress is dealt with in many different ways by many different people. This article will tell you about a way that you probably have never heard before. A way that works, no matter what your state of affairs. What am I talking about? The answer is...zen garden.

Zen gardens are made up of gravel or sand that feels like water, rocks and plants The idea is an clean space for relaxing. It is a common myth that monks mediate in these gardens. They actually meditate in front of a wall. This makes no difference however, an uncluttered space means peacefulness .. It is an oasis of calm in an otherwise loony world. I will now tell you how to make one.

1) Find a space. IT also doesn't really have to be a big area, more often than not small zen gardens work well. Better in fact. It shouldn't be too shaded either.

2) Establish the sand or gravel baths. These can be crafted from rock or wood. Wood is often a good option,. Light colored wood works well also.

3) Place down a floor sheet. To stay clear of weeds and such a good plastic floor sheet must be laid. The last thing you desire is weeds and things growing up through the sand or gravel.

4) Equally load the baths with sand or gravel. The color is up to you but light color is the route to take.

5) Acquire some nice rocks for visual enjoyment. It is irrelevant what they look like just providing you like them. You could also pop in some statues. Don't insert too much though.

6) Try to make the sand appear to be the ripples of water by raking It. Appears simple but that is the entire point. It de-stresses the mind and looks wonderful.

7) Get a water fountain or water feature. Not a major elaborately designed one. Just a simple one so you can hear water as you kick back.

8) Depending on how much place you have you need to have some furniture. A bench set could be nice. Just ensure that that it is extremely comfortable. This is all about minimalist ideologies though so keep it easy

9) Place some flowers, fragrant flowers like lavender work best as do shrubs. Again nothing too ornate, just very simple.

10) Enjoy

It sounds simple but this may possibly take time. It will easily be worth every penny eventually. Once it is ready zen gardens are extremely low upkeep. That is the whole point of them truly. A shorter period weeding a longer period relaxing.
