By Sam Roxas

If you'd like to learn more accelerated learning methodologies, then you'll want to read this work. Specifically, we'll discuss four accelerated learning techniques: sleeping, taking five, hiking or walking and changing your focus.

As you can see, those speed learning techniques are all "lifestyle activities" or somehow is related to your lifestyle. You see, the way you live really affects your capability to learn faster and to master accelerated learning techniques.

Now, unless you are 100% sure that you are keeping a well balanced and healthy way of life, you can finish reading now and move on to the next article about speed learning techniques.

1. Sleep well

The best ideas typically arise from a well-rested and fresh brain. If you want to increase your capability to concentrate and to improve your concentration span, you really need to close the blinds, switch off the lights and sleep.

Now, this accelerated learning method essentially applies both to getting 7 hours of sleep a day and by taking a short nap right before doing something that's "strenuous" for your cortex.

1. Take short, frequent breaks.

A study has indicated that the human brain has up to 90 minutes before it shuts down. This means that every 90 minutes, you should rest. This may be as quick as 5 minutes but it should not be more than 45 minutes.

For the 90 minutes that you are studying, you must make sure that you are far from any distraction. Also ensure that during your breaks, you would be as far away from your study or work place as possible.

1. Walk around

Talking a short walk around your home or your neighbourhood can actually help you change your point of view when you're feeling like you are running out of "creative juices" or if you happen to feel like your brain is being drained.

Just take a quick walk or a hike and you can expect that when you come back to your thinking chair, you would definitely be doing a lot of good thinking and learning.

Change Your Angle

Now, when all else has been done but you cannot get yourself to focus, it's time to change your angle. Look at a job in another standpoint or focus. For example, if you are studying about a very giant topic, alternate your studies between the technical and non-technical aspects of the topic.

Learning different speed learning can be tricky and it does take a lot of time. But now that you know the seriousness of keeping a balanced way of life, I know that learning different accelerated learning techniques can be much easier for you now.
