By Julianne Marks

Sometimes even the calmest person needs a bit of stress management. Stress can affect our ability to think, problem solve and feel healthy. Read on for a few great tips for reducing your stress.

The easiest way to reduce your stress is by reducing clutter and get more organized. Most of us have lived with clutter for s long we often take it for granted even though it can influence your overall state of mind. When you don't know where things are, and you're surrounded by paperwork and random items, you feel out of control. If you are disorganized it can take extra time to find things you need. A cluttered desktop computer can be as frustrating as a cluttered room when you need to find an essential file or project. It's essential for you to weed out those items that cause clutter such as clothing, paperwork and computer files. It's easier to find your belongings when you need them if they are well organized to begin with. Doing this can have a surprisingly positive impact on various areas of your life including your stress levels and that overall feeling of spinning out of control.

Don't keep feelings bottled up inside of you. One of the most satisfying stress reducers you might find is that of a supportive talk it out person that you can trust no matter what you need to say. Don't forget to breath, it's essential for healthy living as well as healthy stress reduction.

That is the reason many tout deep breathing for its healing powers of stress management. Depriving your body of oxygen occurs when you are breathing shallow, this can also cause a feeling of being out of control. Many programs available can teach you the art of breathing. Deep breathing is an effective means for reducing stress and energizing your mind and spirit.

Take some time to yourself to enjoy things you like to do. If you aren't catering to yourself once in a while you aren't going to get rid of the stress that is your daily grind. The problems we deal with on a daily basis whether we can control them or not adds to the amount of stress we put on ourselves. Everyone needs to find time to do the things they love just for fun. Make sure to devote a chunk of time to hobbies you enjoy doing. The degree of activity doesn't matter as long as it brings you joy and relaxation.

When you're doing something that you enjoy, you're naturally focused in a positive direction and stress fades into the background. As you can clearly see stress management will take a lot of different forms which will depend on your circumstances and preferences. The above tips are only a few of the ways you can reduce stress in your life, but they are ones that are simple to apply and quite effective. Don't underestimate how damaging stress can be on your well being and health, so be sure to find a way to deal with it.
