Being More Of A Creative Person

By Quinn Bordon

Creativity is a beautiful thing but being in a creative state is not always that easy. It's not like flicking a light switch on.

Here are some tips to help you be more creative and get in a creative mood.

The first tip I can give you is to hang around with other people that are creative. We are often a product of our environment so if you hang around people that are creative then this will rub off on you.

You may not know this but an excellent way to be more creative as a person is to experience different things. As an example of this if you usually listen to pop music then start listening to hip hop for a while. If you write fiction than start reading nonfiction for a while and experience new things.

It's important for your creative mind that you never stop learning things. Your mind is a sponge and learning new things will give you lots more creativity. So read more books.

A top tip I can give you is to carry a pad and pen around with you and when you find something that catches your eye write it down so you can get some creativity from later.

Many people are too negative and whenever they have an idea they just try to forget about it because they think of it as stupid. You should never do this because sometimes even a silly idea can be a fantastic one even if it sounds silly at first.

Going for walks is a great way to get your creative juices flowing. Just follow where your feet go and see new places. It's nice to go for a walk and get some fresh air and just have a think.

Meditation is another great way to increase your creative powers. Sometimes the best ideas come when we are meditating, sleeping or just chilling out.

You may not know this but a really good way to be more creative is to exercise every day. Exercise helps to keep your body and mind sharp. And going for a good jog can release some great ideas.

If you're looking for more creativity in your life then remember these tips for the future.
